Vision will feature a series of Oil on Canvas portraits, including portraits of Jude Law and Cate Blanchett.
The concept of Duarte Vitória´s work is to make people contact with the most visceral emotions of the human condition.This is achieved by shocking and disturbing the mind´s viewer with human flesh scenarios, to wake up people from dormant states of consciousness and to question their humanity. The works are presented in great scales to intensify the visceral effect.
Exhibiting for a decade, his work has been in a great expansion, manifesting throughout many places in Europe (Lisbon, Madrid, Brussels, Venice, Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Basel, London) in the North America (New York, Miami and Toronto).
